AUDITION INTENSIVE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE (Ages 8-15)
Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Just in time for Good Company Players’ Junior Company auditions! Learn what it takes to stand out in a good way — at any audition.
Junior Company Program Director, Laurie Pessano, will be leading a veteran team of teachers and coaches to give aspiring young performers the basic knowledge they need to audition confidently. Students will quickly learn vital dance, vocal and acting guidelines and will end the day with a mock audition and talkback. Instruction will include basic jazz/ballet/tap steps and combos, learning a new song (students are also welcome to bring their own sheet music), and nailing the fundamentals of cold and prepared readings. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with some of GCP’s decision makers, learn to audition like a pro, and take those first steps to becoming a triple threat!

Times: 10:00am – 5:00 pm (There will be a 1-hour lunch break at 1:00. Food is not provided. Students may eat unsupervised at a local eatery or bring a lunch and eat at the GCP Annex with adult supervision.)

Fee: $75 general ($65 current company members. A limited number of full scholarships are available for current or former Junior Company members. Application Deadline: January 10th.
